Michael Gardner

Mr. Gardner has led Gardner Pinfold since the firm began operations in 1980. He is trained in law and economics, complementary disciplines highly applicable to his areas of specialization. Over the years, various Royal Commissions and federal and provincial Task Forces have sought Mr. Gardner’s expertise. He has also served as an advisor to the Government of Canada in international arbitrations. His project experience in Canada is nation-wide.
Mr. Gardner also has extensive international experience, with assignments in some 35 countries for such agencies as CIDA, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum. During his consultancy career, he has authored well over 400 major reports. He has also published articles in academic journals and presented research papers at numerous conferences. On regulatory matters, Mr. Gardner has testified before the National Energy Board, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board, and the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission of Prince Edward Island.
Gregor Macaskill

Gregor is a partner at Gardner Pinfold with 12 years of consultancy experience. He has undergraduate and graduate training in statistics and economics. He has been involved in The Socio-Economic Impacts of Aquaculture in Canada, Economic Impacts of Aboriginal Aquaculture in Canada, Nova Scotia Seafood Processing Sector Study, and most recently the Atlantic Food and Beverage Processing Sector Asset Map Project. He has conducted many of the firm’s projects involving surveys, interviews, economic impact analysis, and economic development. Mr. MacAskill offers services in both French and English.
Dillan Jean Jacques

Dillan is an Economist at Gardner Pinfold, and he has been with the firm since 2022. He is trained in applied economics, economic and business model building and amassed 9 years of reporting skills. During his consultancy career, he has contributed to Gardner Pinfold projects in fisheries, tourism education, energy and the public sector. He has recently completed work developing a business plan for the Canadian Wildlife Federation on building a business model to lease ropeless fishing gear to fishermen in Atlantic Canada. His experience in this contemporary business model can be transferred to the EV charging industry.
Christopher Debow

Chris DeBow is a Senior Associate of Gardner Pinfold with nearly 20 years experience. Chris has a Master’s degree in Development Economics who has applied his analytical expertise across a wide range of economic sectors at provincial, national, and international scales. He has extensive experience in areas of socio-economic analysis, stakeholder engagement, community consultation, project management, sector-level strategy development, and economic impact assessment. His academic background in economics, business, and international development add a unique perspective to his work.
Prabhleen Kaur

Chris DeBow is a Senior Associate of Gardner Pinfold with nearly 20 years experience. Chris has a Master’s degree in Development Economics who has applied his analytical expertise across a wide range of economic sectors at provincial, national, and international scales.
