Update the 2012 Export Value of Nova Scotia Universities Study

This study estimates the economic impact of Atlantic Canada's 17 universities. Starting from data on direct economic activity by each university, the study estimates measures of direct and spin-off income and employment. In addition, the study examines the broad economic influence of the universities in terms of 1) increased economic activity resulting from sector investments over the past five years; 2) benchmarking expected impact of future investments; 3) strategies to enhance the role of universities in municipal, regional and provincial economic development; and 4) assessing the universities' influence in the economy and broader community.

Economic Impact Assessment - NAIT

A comprehensive economic impact study of NAIT was undertaken previously and newer data is now available for many components of the work. In particular the program enrollments, fees, budgets, Statistics Canada data, and economic modeling offer more current information. Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of key statistics from the analysis is important for NAIT ongoing communications to a wide variety of audiences. This study updates the five key statistics produced from the original comprehensive analysis of economic impacts resulting from NAIT.
